Commercial roofing
Torch down roofing (sometimes referred to as “torch on” roofing) is so named because it requires an open-flame propane torch. In this installation method, sheets of modified bitumen are rolled out onto the roof, and a roofing professional uses a hand-held propane torch to heat the material and adhere it to the surface.
Euroshield roofs
Being a sustainable roofing product is what Euroshield is all about. As they discuss on their “What’s really green?” page, their shingle is “not harmful to the environment” and “sustainable.”
This means that 70% of the material used is source rubber tires that would end up in a landfill anyway, with an additional 15% of other recyclable material used. The trend of being environmentally friendly continues as their product is recyclable at the end of its life.
Tile roof
Tile roofs have been around for centuries. Like any roofing product, they were created to provide a barrier between the inside of a structure and the harsh outside elements. Roof tiles are made of local, natural and recyclable materials such as terracotta (also known as clay), slate and concrete.

Asphalt shingles
An asphalt shingle is a type of wall or roof shingle that uses asphalt for waterproofing. It is one of the most widely used roofing covers in North America because it has a relatively inexpensive up-front cost and is fairly simple to install.
For comparison, the following list shows how long other roof materials are expected to last, according to a study by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Please note that harsh climate conditions, poor workmanship, and damage from severe weather can shorten any roof’s expected life.
